Cover Illustration for Ferment Magazine
Ferment magazine, included in Beer52’s monthly subscription beer box, celebrates the world’s hottest breweries and most intriguing beer-related culture. This issue is focused on Belgian beer and culture. The brief was to create an illustration for the front cover celebrating Belgian culture and could take inspiration from history, food, architecture, brewing processes or anything Belgian! There were 3 suggested routes as a starting point, I chose to depict a busy scene as my illustration is very character focused. I wanted to inspire the feeling of when you travel somewhere abroad and get to experience new foods and atmosphere in another country. You can see my sketch ideas below.
This was a mock brief set by Beer52’s Art Director Adele Juraza in conjunction with Inky Goodness Collective. It was not commissioned by Beer52, portfolio piece only.
